The workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights and its Protection’ was organised on Feb. 1, 2020

A one-day workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights and its Protection’ was organised on Feb. 1, 2020 by the Shree Krishna Educational Institute (SKEI), in collaboration with the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CST-UP). Innovation Officer Mr Mohit Srivastava from CST-U.P. was the keynote speaker. Addressing the participants, Mr Mohit Srivastava highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights, “especially in the field of copyrights and patenting.” He spoke on topics such as how to proceed for obtaining patents, trademark and design. He further informed the students how and where to register the patents, trademark and designs.
National Innovation Officer Mr Sandeep Dwivedi expressed optimism that the workshop would make the participants aware of the various dimensions of intellectual property rights.
Resource person Dr Anurag Mishra, Director SKCP-Sitapur explained about various aspects of IPR such as Patents, Copyrights, Industrial Design, Trade-marks & Geographical Indicators .
SKEI Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, Administrator Mr Harinam Singh and PRO Mr Ashok Prajapati spoke on various aspects of intellectual property rights.
The workshop was attended by a total number of 170 persons including the teaching staff. The information provided during the session was successful in bringing greater clarity on understanding of the otherwise clouded topics of IPR. In the field of Design, the importance of copyrights & Patents was also dealt with in great detail.
